Re: Playstation still has huge advantage over Xbox.

There are certain things I'd agree with not needing to provide video on but this isn't one of em. Teams have complained about some sort of PS advantage since the start of crossplay and haven't been able to back it up.

You take a look into their stats and the vast majority of these teams have maybe a .500 average at best and try to force plays of their own. Please provide something so it can be broken down. Us players are the QA testers

@TTZ_Dipsy He's speaking about the fact that PS controllers can play around with deadzones and make it super sensitive so they move quicker than Xbox players since they don't have that option.

@TTZ_Dipsy Impossible to prove. You just "feel it" during the game.
I just ended another game...its literally every game we lose its PS teams.

They move so unnaturally, they are lightling fast. Yesterday a guy was rushing one side of the ice checking us in the back and the pass would go to another one of us across the ice and the PS guy who just checked would catch up with us and hit that player in the back and make us lose the puck non stop all game.

You try to hit them but its impossible because they move and pivot so unrealistically fast.

They play huge builds and have the speed of small builds. One guy was playing the moonlight or whatever premade big build that has something like 88 speed yet was more agile and fast than our guys with 94-95 speed.

I mean do you not play the game?

@phomi99 That is one of the reasons I suspect which makes them move so weird compared to xbox player...

Im so jealous seeing the speed with which they pivot and skate compared to xbox players. its mental.

But its also unfun and unfair.

Keep in mind I play 3s most of the time and so the problem is vastly amplified because they have the room to abuse it way more than in 6s.

I mean, I dunno what to tell you mate; they can't really fix anything based on a feel (they don't seem to have the resources to really fix anything anyway).

The special builds completely brake part of the game and I believe at least one of them has Xfactors that their build normally doesn't allow. Moonlight or Bones or whoever might explain the catchup speed.

I don't think speed really does anything after 90 - At the very least its diminishing returns.

I played once in January but essentially quit back in early December - honestly no point in continuing since the devs refuse to make QoL changes.

I'm a PS5 owner forced to play the PS4 version because my buddy refuses to upgrade - He recently moved to Toronto so our games will be too laggy anyway.

I wish you the best mate but I honestly don't know how to help

@TTZ_Dipsy Fair enough. I still will use my solemn right to complain and create awareness. Its the only way to hopefully get things fixed. I mean, like you said, they dont seem to have any resources to fix much anyways...this game has so many bugs its crazy. The speed glitch is independant from PS and Xbox by the way, its the way you place your stick while you hustle so you end up hustling one handed and get an extra speed boost. My tm8 does it all the time and we score a ton on breakaways because of it...its stupid and i refuse to learn it because then it will be hard to not abuse but still, thats a seperate thing and is from last year yet still unfixed. Its so annoying. I really wish another company made the game.

I'm certain it's the only reason. I bought a good Xbox controller on Amazon where I can customize the settings and set my deadzones to Raw mode and min and max. I call it being "wiggly" . I'm noticeably faster to the puck than my opponent. Only downside is with sensitive sticks is you miss shots and lining up hits more than if I were to shrink the deadzones. I have to play around with it and find a sweet spot.

It also takes some getting used to because you gotta react quicker now.

Found out about it first on FIFA. PS players abused the sensitivity customization there too.

@KidShowtime1867 I dont see how a 5 second clip would provide proof of a player being faster without argument.

the answer would be: he must have a lot of agility or acceleration" or something like that.

Anyways, the stick sensitivity thing is a widely known issue so im not recording it. Google it.

Although I suspect there is more than that but its hard to prove.

There is no need to call anyone out for not getting video. There is no requirement to post it. That said, we really can't do anything about an issue without video.

There is nothing the team can do about it. PS players have an advantage but it's on Microsoft not EA. Good thing for Xbox players is they have options to do what PS players do via aftermarket controllers.

I personally have never noticed a difference between PS and Xbox. I've won/lost against PS players just as often as Xbox. Not saying there's no issue. It's just my own experience.

@EA_Aljo Do you play 3s? Its pretty obvious in 3s because of the space. In 6s its much more mitigated.

My club started playing 3v3 Quickplay matches before everyone gets on so I get a couple of those in before 6s. I haven't noticed a difference vs PS players. Again, it's just my personal experience. I don't know if there's an actual issue here or not.

@EA_Aljo One thing is its not every game. I assume based on player skill and knowledge of whatever the exploits are. But you definitely see it more often than not where the players just act like jets that turn on a dime and accelerate up the roof. They also pickup most free pucks even if behind you. They just seem unnaturally quick to me.

We'll need video of this in order to investigate it. If you get some, please let me know.

  • If there was an advantage it would have nothing to do with the actual game and more about how the gaming hardware handles things.  Can't remember what year it was where people preferred Playstation version because they felt checking was harder.

Here is an old topic about controllers and such.  Take it with a grain of salt.

PS> This was also apparently my 1,000th post on the new forums.

It's more of those "once you see it, you can't unsee it" sorta thing.

It's a big thing on COD and FIFA. It's what the pros spend lots of money on. That and internet.

If you maximize the deadzones on your controller and make it hairline sensitive you are more responsive to the game and to the opponent you show up faster. There is nothing the team can do it about it. It's the nature of gaming. In call of duty some of them PC players absolutely zoom by your screen with insane movement.
