Try opening the EA Connect screen. This is done on Xbox by hitting the View button. That's the small one to the lower left of the Guide button. I'm not sure what button does this on PS5, but if you look in the lower right corner of any screen in WoC, you should see the button that opens this screen. From here go to Player search and enter their ID. Once they're found, you should be able to party up and play together.
