LONG POST WITH POTENTIAL SOLUTION!
After hours and hours of not being able to play I said screw it and marched down to Xfinity and got the 1gb service to see if that would fix the issues.
IT DID NOT
I still errored out of the loading screen and took 15min to load in the second time. Once I was in and finally made it to a game, I couldn’t select my position, ready up, or back out of the lobby… Just like before.
Until!
I unplugged my wireless headset…
I play the vast majority of the time with a Turtle Beach Stealth 600 for game audio and party chats. I unplugged my headset and poof I’m in game playing with my club no issues outside of the normal lag in lobbies and the main menu because the game sucks.
So after that I said mmmmmm let’s plug the AT&T back in…
and just like that able to play.
This is my current set up:
Xbox Series X
AT&T 1GB Fiber run through their modem and a Deco TP-Link AX6600 mesh system. Xbox is hardwired to the mesh system getting about 900+ mbs upload and download.
Xbox chat headset plugged into the controller (the cheap one)
Now I will say there is absolutely an issue with AT&T fiber and the game because the load into the main screen/lobbies is way longer than Xfinity but with Xfinity I ran into some gameplay issues since their speeds are so inconsistent (I mean a millisecond of lag) but this is a solve for me.
I will also say I haven’t played between 6:30-8:00 yet. I’ve played Friday starting at 10pm, and here and there Saturday morning through 4pm.
