Input Delay v.24

Can you put those videos up on YouTube and link them in a response instead? When attached to a response, the clips are just too small.

The first 2 videos are normal agility and sprinting this week. This is WoC Free Skate.
Below (filmed at the same time) is a short snippet where suddenly it feels sluggish. My edges don't look sharp; the stop at center ice was not intended on a turn. Sprinting took 5 steps instead of 1 with max skating stats. My actual stick movements are the same as above.

Here's a normal skating session from maybe 1-2 months ago:
Same session below. One of the best examples of the delay and how it looks online (albeit it's much worse online when lag and servers come into play). Sometimes it cuts, sometimes it stops at random. Not a single stop is intentional. It feels sluggish and unresponsive -- noticeably, it doesn't look like elite edges (which are on). Sprinting takes several extra strides to activate.
Here's me replicating the same looking delay in regular Free Skate (it manifests in every mode), with Jack Hughes:
Regarding the videos above (and for the umpteenth time): every piece of hardware has been replaced, I'm on 1GB upload ethernet, and it ONLY manifests this lag in NHL22-24. It's not user error, as my good clips show, and it's not anything on my end or other games would be affected.
Last night, I was up abnormally late. I've stated this before, but it does sometimes resolve in the early morning. I had the lag even from 2-4:45am last night. But then, like a fog, I played 2 more games without any delay whatsoever. Not even on the same server locations. I find it hard to believe the servers are overloaded at 4am EST, but 5am EST is the sweet spot (and not even consistently). It's not one online mode that resolves either -- it's the entire game.
I know other players I'm with have these issues to much lesser degree. I also regularly play the same people who can always move impossibly faster and smoother on equal or higher ping. I know regular lag, and this isn't it. I can show proof of the input issues in video, but only I know how awful it actually feels. I don't think anyone in the community has been as vocal or descriptive or provided as much evidence as me, and it never leads anywhere because I'm being given the runaround with zero back and forth.
Thanks for the all details and clips. I'll relay any new information I get back on this.
So what did you find out regarding the two games i described?
you have the time stamps
you should have the logs or access to them.
this is very much still happening…. Just played a game vs a german player and it felt like my players were stuck in the mud.
graph showed 20ms… i dont have 20 ms to any german server. Why is this graph so incorrect?
I’ll continue to wait with bated breath after 2 years.
I have the biggest smile on my face knowing that after 9 days, the only views of my clips on YouTube come from me and a friend watching them a handful of times. Maybe a poster here clicked on a couple.
I was told to upload them to YouTube for the dev team -- because we're always being asked to provide evidence -- but I'm not sure they are aware that YouTube lists views! Fascinated to see the new information that will be relayed by never watching my clips. Not that I didn't know this was a dead end.
@DeliveryForKiki2 months later without even a reply to these clear as day videos. Not that I expected otherwise because it's been 2 years of this routine. I doubt the devs have seen these videos, and I doubt they care either way. The customer support from EA is as poor as it gets. But I'll keep these bimonthly visits up until NHL79, if I must.
I did send them to the dev team. I don't have an update. It could not be reproduced.
Just like the OP, I have similar problems with lag, fat man lag, and slow player movement. I just want to write down my thoughts, but that's going to be it for this year. I complained a lot in the past, but nothing has changed. I just want to get the frustration out of my system and move on. There is no chance that I'll return to HUT in NHL 25; I have reached my breaking point.
Last weekend, I played HUT Champions for the first time since May, and once you get to win 9 or 10, the "bad gameplay" starts: players not picking up pucks, players and goalies not reacting, own goals, slow gameplay: Gameplay Video
I had some older gameplay videos saved with the common problems when playing online, that I haven't posted yet, so here they are:
That's the worst when you have to "work" for your goals and give up easy goals for your opponent due to the connect.

Short description of the various clips:
1. Player not turning
2. Players not picking up pucks
3. & 4. Players not intercepting pucks
5. Small bump = drains energy completelyly
6. AI D not reacting
7. Weird animation
8. & 9. Players not picking up pucks
10. Example fat man lag, Larkin turns way to slow.
11. Players not picking up pucks.
Fat man lag collection

Short description of the various clips:
1. Gretzky shoots way too late, animation takes forever
2. Players are just slow, Regehr moves like a truck, player switching doesn't work.
3. 4. Laggy gameplay. players are moving slow and not intercepting pucks.
5. & 6. & 7. Players not picking up pucks, input lag, Slow gameplay, players moving slow.
8. Terrible laggy gameplay goal
9. Laggy gameplay. players are moving slow and not intercepting pucks. Rage Quit
10. Perfect example of opponent having an unfair advantage. Opening faceoff, Gretzky should intercept bad pass but doesn't, leading to a goal.
Rage Quit after going down by three goals, slow gameplay.
11. Slow gameplay, player not picking up puck
I have more videos, but I think I made my point. When I watch players like Eki play online, it's not even close to what my teammates and I have to endure online. Actually, last Christmas, I was visiting relatives who have a 1Gbit business line. The gameplay was even worse than at my home (100 Mbit). I actually played against Eki and lost 0-7. I recorded the game; it was unplayable. If he had to play with my connection disadvantage, I would beat him easily. Why I have to play against a Finnish player as someone from Germany is a strange design decision as well. There is no chance that the connection is good.
I am still going to play EASHL in NHL 25 because you can compensate for the connection disadvantage with good teammates, but I can't play HUT anymore. I still wish the development team good luck; it was not all bad this year, but the bugs and technical issues are just unacceptable.
