NHL 24 crashing when starting a game after creating more than one team

I’ve been making custom teams all with custom players on the roster. It’s fine when I make one team and add the custom players, but not when I do it a second time. If there’s two custom teams with custom players, the game crashes on the team select screen before starting any game mode.

I can do one team with custom players and one with non-custom players on the roster with no problem, it’s just the second team.

The error code is CE-108255-1 on PS5. I’ve contacted Sony but didn’t help. Is there a fix for this?
