NHL 24 Season Mode Crashing

Hi everyone.

I made some trades on my season mode (to adjust for in season trades that happen in real life), however, when I try to play the next game, the game crashes. I tried simulating past the game which also led to the game crashing. 

I read on another site that it crashes because the teams involved in the trade will suddenly have empty lines to which we have to fix ourselves. The thing is, on season mode you can’t edit other teams lines. 

please let me know if anyone has experienced this, I am 51 games into the season and have put in a lot of time and effort on this mode and don’t want it to all go to waste.
