I was gonna buy the game 'til i saw this. This was an issue on NHL 23 as well, and I can't believe that it is still there. Wanted to make sure that it was gone before I bought it.

Me and my friend used to run playoff runs against eachother with own created teams before this bug. Now the game chooses home advantage for one of us and it has ruined the whole thing.

Please, please, please fix this.

How long do you think until this will be fixed approximately?

I see that patch 1.1.1 rolled out and there is still no change to this issue. It is surprising knowing that this has been a problem that came about in NHL 23 but was never an issue prior and still is not fixed. Will there be efforts made to correct this problem or will we just need to accept the games pre-determined logic to make a certain team have home ice advantage?

I again encourage the team to try it with Pittsburg and Detroit, in which you cannot make Detroit the home team for game 1,2,5, & 7 regardless of if the team is selected on the right or left in Playoff Mode.

Has this issue been addressed?  Battle for the cup was my primary mode of play. If this issue isn't fixed, I'm not going to purchase this game.

Hey @EA_Aljo my friends and I have delt with this problem for the past 2 years just accepting it as is. Well, I'm feeling ambitious right now so i pulled out my old video from NHL 23 and a new one from NHL 24 to show you exactly what I am talking about. 

I even used this year Stanley Cup final as an example.

@EA_Aljo attached is the NHL 24 example. I hope that this can be corrected in NHL 25 as I know the announcement / release is approaching quick.
