Do either of you have special characters in your player's names? Also, having the C or A may cause this. Something else to check is your gamerpic. If it's a custom one, try switching to a default image.

I also recommend you both power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

Something in my response here helped.

For me, it was changing my players name to exclude an A or a C. Please let me know if they can patch it.
