I just switched to AT&T a couple weeks ago and now im having this problem. I sit and try to connect to WoC for hours but can never connect. I'll restart everything several times with no avail. Its a serious problem on LeagueGaming as well.
Is EA aware of this? Are they doing anything to remedy this? At this point in time, the game in unplayable online for AT&T customers from about 8pm-11pm EST. Prime time.AT&T is notorious for having poor routes to AWS. I'm guessing EA has their servers hosted with AWS.
This typically isn't an issue but the nature of EA's online-asset heavy menu U.I. - it's constantly reaching out to the remote server for in-game assets and it grinds everything to a halt.
- Pengman2 years agoSeasoned Vanguard@KidShowtime1867 I think you hit the nail on the head. If you pay attention, it's constantly trying to load, for example, that bottom left rectangular asset, which for some reason bricks your game basically. With that said, I am an AT&T customer, and I've had ZERO issues with NHL 24 until the most recent update. This issue seems specific to AT&T customers, but EA is clearly the cause. Something about this update caused the issue.
Side note: EA needs to re-imagine their menu system which is-- no offense--the absolute worst in any videogame I've ever played. Slow, clunky, so much constant loading. If it's causing these horrid issues for AT&T customers, that's ridiculous.

My theory is that while they're testing this game in-house, the online assets are located on a local server - so they don't see these delays at all.
When they push out a community playtest, the online assets are stripped down and general server load is minimal as well, so it goes largely unnoticed.
- 75fd980e1b1839002 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Reflektere If possible, can you let your league buddies know to chime in here and post on the official forums... the more people complaining, the more it stays at the top. The game being literally unplayable should be a priorty-fix
Adding another for my buddy who couldn't play tonight at all because of this. This issue has stemmed all the way from NHL 23 for him on PS5. The funny thing is, the more I think about it, the more I realize that it started happening around the time I imagine that EA would've added all the Battle Pass stuff to their online servers for the launch of NHL 24. My theory is that all the additional server taxing that it's causing even affected NHL 23 despite it not being in the game. The timelines line up.
At any rate, it's clear to me that the Battle Pass UI is a serious problem. Regardless of ISP, the menu load times are held up until the Battle Pass icon appears in the top/right of the UI, then everything else loads quickly after that.
My buddy with AT&T Fiber internet, who has no problems with any other games or sites on his internet, got a Battle Pass related error message after waiting for at least 15 minutes for the menus to load in "World of Chel" tonight. Coincidence? Absolutely not.
Trying to connect into WoC and getting Network Connection Issue - unable to connect to the EA servers at this time.
I am wired (Shaw), have done all the resets and troubleshooting i could fine. Others are able to connect but I have not. Help?

I'm having the exact same issue. In Winnipeg as well, with Shaw (Rogers) and on PS5. Nothing is working, has to be an ISP issue or something on EA's end.
I’m having the exact same issue on Roger’s/Shaw in WPG been trouble shooting for the last 1.5 hours
I’ve been having this issue the last 2 days. I’m on Astound internet and my ps5 is wired. Other games play fine and I’m on party chat and still get the ea server issue
At&t no issues last night aside from odd jersey glitch that cleared up.
I was able to connect to my mobile hotspot and connect to their ea server. However, not going to play from my phone. No issues on any other game but NHL
@EA_Aljo please see the latest issues and threads going on.
