Yeah unfortunately this is happening to me again. 

everyone that’s having this at@t issue, you mind if I ask where you guys are located?

    This is awful.

    I am able to fire up any other game that I have on my XBox and use their online features flawlessly.  It seems quite obvious that this is an EA problem.  I know all the other games I’m playing have more people on their servers so it’s embarrassing to EA that they can’t figure this out in 2023. 

    I feel I am owed a refund. 

  • I remember that 95% of the people that complained about it in July wee on the Midwest or near. 

    Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Ohio. 

    Hey @EA_Aljo  out of curiosity, do any of the guys you play with on AT&T reside around these area? Might be a certain region constantly getting these errors

    North Carolina.  How can they say they're not getting a high amount of complaints?

    I have At&t ISP and having the same exact same issues with loading times here in St Louis, Missouri. As others have stated, it doesn't happen with any other games. Only EA Sports NHL 24 and it first started occuring towards the end of NHL 23.

    For the love of God, can we get more information on what the issue is, exactly? Is it only a specific region in the US? Is it only those using the rented AT&T modem/equipment?A specific model? An AT&T back end issue? Should we switch DNS servers or anything else we can modify within XB/PS settings?

    We literally cannot play the game during peak hours, and there are hundreds of complaints, if not more.

    New AT&T user here (unfortunately)

    This is the only game I'm having any issues on and I loaded about 10 or so other games to confirm.

    Furthermore, if you work your way up the chain of AT&T you will quickly learn that, as far as AT&T is concerned they have NOT been contacted and it is NOT an AT&T problem.

    Sounds like a lot of finger pointing back and forth for a problem that really both parties are at fault in some way. I can't honestly think of a way where just this ISP in particular is impacted for this specific game and EA be completely disconnected from the issue totally.

    Is EA aware?

    Are they taking steps to fix it with AT&T?

    If they aren't, why?

  • @EA_Aljo its clear that this is a broader, ongoing issue based on the responses in this thread, on Reddit, and on Twitter. As others have pointed out, the complete lack of transparency or troubleshooting steps is alarming.

    What else do you need from the community for this to be actioned on?

    @pasghettisquash I've reached out to AT&T a few minutes ago, namely their social media director, who reiterated that to AT&Ts knowledge, EA has NOT reached out.

    That doesnt mean EA hasn't but clearly something went wrong in communication and it needs to be re-nudged.
  • Awesome. And agree - it’s very possible some people from EA and AT&T did chat, and I could understand the complexity.

    I believe it’s related to the latest release. In hindsight I believe the load menus on 23 were always a little slower on AT&T, but not so much that I ever really thought to complain. They started out bad on 24, but since the release have really been degraded - which I think has led to Nasher’s tweet, multiple complains on Reddit, and the activity of this thread. I’m also fairly sure it’s related to peak traffic - seems like less of an issue midday, so it’s probably difficult to pinpoint.

    I also reached out to Mike Inglehart, the creative director that recently did an interview about the release (at thebigwinmike on twitter). Unfortunately I really think this is out of his wheelhouse, but he did say he’d check around.

    Hoping @EA_Aljo responds at some point - I’m sure it’s quite common for issues to come and go, but this seems more systemic.

    Really we just need to keep making noise. This is a major issue impacting a significant portion of LG (League Gaming) and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

    Weird that I was very happy to see Nasher get this issue, as now I think the ball is rolling hopefully. No way Fiber Internet from one of the largest ISPs in North America should be a hurdle for EA.

    I have this issue...I'm located in Berwyn IL literally the suburb right next to Chicago. Here's the thing tho I have ATT fiber and has this issue...my roommate has a PS5 on the same internet and his NHL plays flawlessly. I just don't get it. I spent hrs with ATT support on this issue...I only play COD MLB NHL and poker... everything else plays fine
