Re: Load Time Between Games

Thanks for the response. I did the what you suggested tonight. After the first game back it did get me into the lobby quicker but I had to wait a couple minutes for anything to show up on the screen other than my character and the background. Once it correctly loaded we started another game where it then wouldn't let me load into the pregame lobby. It also took a long time, 4+ minutes, to load back into WOC after the restart. Any other ideas?

Is this happening in drop-in games as well as club?

Something else to try is using alternate DNS settings with the instructions here. If you don't see a difference, try the Google DNS servers. Those are: Primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - Secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.

Also, try rebuilding your database with these steps.

You can also try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 24. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 24 and delete the saved data.

It does it anytime im playing clubs. When playing regular drop ins it plays normal at first and slowly gets longer between games. For the changing the DNS is it the same for the PS4 and PS5, the link only addresses PS4.

I've got some more troubleshooting that may help.

Try everything suggested in these 2 articles -

    http://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/problems-playing-online

You can also try alternate DNS settings with the steps here. If you don't see a difference, try the Google DNS servers. Those are: Primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - Secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.

If your router supports QoS (Quality of Service), make sure it's enabled and prioritize your PlayStation.

On your router, make sure UPnP is enabled. Also, check to see if there's a firmware update available.

You also can contact your ISP to see if they are noticing any issues.

It would also be good to make sure you're using a at least a Cat6 ethernet cable and be sure to check it for any damage. If you're playing on a wireless connection, try switching to a wire.

That's all I can think of at the moment. We're not aware of any issues with our servers and we aren't receiving many reports of disconnecting. Should anything be noticed, we'll make an announcement.

Also, I'm about to head out for the day, but I won't return until the 17th so I won't be able to help with this until I get back, but I really don't know what else to suggest.

Hey @EA_Aljo hope you had good break, I did the things you suggested and I had some success but it seems like its been slowing down more and more lately. Ive read about a possible problem between EA and ATT and curious if that could be part of my problem? Let me know your thoughts, and thanks again for all your help.

If you're on AT&T, that could be the reason. Especially, if it's only during evening, prime time hours.
