Rivals freezes on Xbox

HUT Rivals is locking up my game.
I was able to play last week and got in 2 games yesterday, but since then when I navigate to the Rivals screen as soon as I click X on Play Now! the game completely freezes up.
I cannot do anything with the game at that point other than shut it down completely and reload the game.
I'm on PS4.
I am able to play other modes including HUT RUSH online.

Try creating a new roster and set it to active. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
When I started the game and went to Rivals, my rewards were available from last week. I clicked on that and checked to see if I could enter a game.
The same thing happened, I hit play now and the entire game locked up on me. ( The time remaining clock keeps running so it isn't a frozen screen, but it will not allow me to do anything including back out of Rivals ).
I shut down NHL 24, reopened it and created a new roster.
I tried it again with the new roster and the same crash happened again.- EA_Aljo
Did you set that roster to active?
Yes, I did set it to active. Then when it didn't work I set it back to see if that did anything. Then went back and set the 2nd roster to active again.
None of that fixed anything.
I've even now tried deleting the game and redownloading it.
That did not help.
I'm stuck right now unable to play the mode I mostly bought the game for.
