Switched from PS4 to PS5 and cannot play with friends in EASHL

I upgraded to PS5 and want to continue playing in the EASHL. When I send my friend an invite they cannot see it or accept it. It says we are not in the same platform even though we are both on PS5. I have no idea why it’s not working! Help please!!
