Community ManagerHi there. I assume your son has an Xbox Series X or S? NHL 25 is not available for Xbox One.
As far as not connecting goes, let's start with a simple power cycle of the network equipment and console.
- Unplug your modem/router for 2 minutes
- Hard restart your console by holding down the power button until it turns off
- Power it all up and try playing again
