A scheduling problem in custom league mode

I started a custom league and my settings are following:

Total games: 84

Divisional games: 28

Conference games: 24

Interconference games: 32

Divisions are the same as in real life. What I want is to have 4 games against every team in my division, 3 games against every team from the other division in my conference, and 2 games against every team from the other conference.

I play for the Anaheim Ducks, so I should have 3 games against the Minnesota Wild, since we are in the same conference, but in different divisions. However, as you can see from the picture below, not only have I 4 games against them on my schedule, but all those games are squeezed into one month.

I play custom league mode for the third year, and this issue has been present from the beginning. Usually divisional and interconference games are scheduled properly, but games against the other division in your conference are not distributed evenly. Usually I have 2, 3 or 4 games against different teams in that division instead of having 3 games against every of them.

I understand that scheduling is not that easy, but NHL manages to create a decent schedule having to deal with basketball games, concerts and other events in the same arenas. Since we don't have such a problem in the game, I believe it shouldn't be too hard to fix this problem.
