Ask an AI team about NMC

I really like the addition of NMC and that jazz in Franchise Mode. There is however one thing I'm wondering, which someone might have an answer to.

Let's say I would want to trade for Jonathan Huberdeau, with a contract that Calgary probably wouldn't mind getting out of if a team contacted them about it, and Huberdeau probably wouldn't mind moving either.

Is there any scenario where Calgary (in this case) could talk to him because they want to get rid of him?

I don't have high hopes for this to be possible, but it would be nice to be able to at least inquire about a player with a NMC, since there are situations when both team and player could be interested in a move.

I have not explored this much, and I expect it to be a dead end, but I would love if it was possible.
