Attribute Points for Backhand shots

Question

I notice shooting is the only slot that has 4 attributes instead of 5. Thought it would be cool to have backhand in there as well as some players like Crosby, Forsberg had some of the most wicked backhanded shots in the game.

I think they used to have that years ago but I could be wrong.

Back in the day you could change your blade type to better account for backhanders but I don't believe there was a specific stat.
I personally think we have too many similar attributes in general - By consolidating and maybe increasing the cost of certain stats (accuracy specifically), I think people would be more open to trying new plays.
