Huh?
Who doesn't have stadium vendors?
Let's just take Chicago for example - which I have been to a number of times, they had a few people walking around trying to sell beer, but these phrases, trying to sell hotdogs or a foot long, pizza or nachos, I have never heard before in the audience.
Curious, where did you hear any of this at least 5 times a period and at what stadium?

I was at a game last night, never heard or seen one of them roaming vendors trying to sell items in the stands at that game or any of the previous games I've been to, they only do it in the concourses where people are actually trying to buy stuff. Now not yesterday but in a previous game I did have one of the 50/50 workers walk up my section yelling 50/50 with the little ticket machine.
You see this more in football or baseball stadiums and its either popcorn, cotton candy or alcohol.
Anyways heres a cool picture i took yesterday.- robotCookieMan9 months agoNew Adventurer

I don't think there's a disagreement about whether or not vendors are in certain stadiums.
The issue is that we're hearing vendor calls in-game almost non-stop during gameplay and the question naturally arises: When was the last time you were at a hockey game and heard vendors yelling that much?
On the realistic broadcast approach - how often do you hear vendors yelling while watching a game on TV?
OP is correct - the overuse of this audio (vendors yelling about nachos) in the NHL games can break immersion.

I agree EA overuse this audio... but OP implied such vendors don't exist at all, which is false.

I've been to the United Center many times, they definately have stadium vendors walking around yelling stuff like "Beer Here!" and "Hot dogs, get you're hot dogs!". I can't say I've heard this 5 times a period though.
I think it's fair to say EA over does it with this stuff, but it's false to say stadium vendors don't exist.

I didn't mean to say or imply that stadium vendors don't exist. I was more speaking to the overuse of this audio, that is all. I should have stated "where do they say any of these things over and over and over again - like ever?"
I do not go to games as much as I would like to, but I do not recall this overuse as it is portrayed in the game. Even when watching live games, I do not hear or see too many ppl walking around yelling about hotdogs and nacho cheese.
My only point is details matter. When turning off the "noise" (music, commentators, etc..) and turning up the volume on the TV, the sound of the crowd and players on the ice is awesome - just sadly interrupted repeatedly to the point where it is beyond rick-diculous :)
