Can't Play AHL Games with Created Teams

I have created a custom league with 48 teams. All 48 NHL teams are created, and 32 AHL teams are created. I want to play games as my AHL affiliate, but when I choose play now, I get a versus screen with no teams loaded, I become soft locked, and have to close app. Any solutions to this? I would love to play games with my prospects, especially after putting the work in to create the teams. Thanks.
