DEFENSEMAN RATINGS HUH

Brett Pesce: 93 defensive awareness / 93 offensive awareness

Evan Bouchard: 87 defensive awareness / 87 offensive awareness

Somebody please tell me I'm being rage baited or something. Who is in charge of these ratings??????

"Rating Releases" are designed specifically for engagement, whether it be to rage against the rating, speak out in favor or simply taking part in the debate around the final numbers - it's all a ploy to drive engagement in the hopes the related hashtags trend across social media.

Were you hoping for a higher overall on these 2 players or lower? I think the overall of Pesce 88 could have actually been 86, but I can tweak ratings in game. Bouchard I actually think is more an 87 than an 89 as well. End of day though, like I said, I will go and tweak player ratings and make them more accurate to individual play.

It's more about their attributes. How does a defensive dman with a career high of 30 points have 6 higher offensive awareness than the dman who just scored 80 points?

      The whole system is off

It's an egregious lack of attention to detail OR it's a lack of NHL knowledge. One of the two. Hate to say it.

If you read the content of the very first post in this thread you'd realize OP wasn't worried about the two players' OVR rating and more so their contradictory, nonsensical individual attributes.

I think the devs have certain Overall ratings for players in mind, and that is what they focus on. In order to achieve the ratings they have in mind, they must play around with individual attributes. That is where they go wrong, Which is why I asked about overall ratings, because if the overall rating is off, then the entirety of individual attributes is going to be skewed to achieve that rating. This is why I spend time adjusting players right from the get go, to correct these things.
