oh please, this game rewards lower tier players all the time with the most garbage goals ever. Many times i’ve outplayed people like the guy above did & would lose a game 4-3 because some how a guy scores 3 straight shots on my goalie no screen no play no deke nothing. Let’s also not act like this game doesn’t have players scoring goals in the final minute & shorthanded at an alarming rate. This game has strayed so far away from what it once was. Give us NHL13/14 days back.

People complained about the same thing in NHL 13/14.
I'm sure your team is no stranger to the same types of goals. Does that mean the game thinks you're a lower tier player and just gift you those goals? That's not what's happening though. Your opponent found a way to score because you weren't defending them. You let them take the same shot multiple times. Chances are also good they made more attempts at that. The opponent had 5min TOA, with 68% passing and gave up 3 penalties and finishing with 13 shots. What exactly was the tactic? You can't shut down an opponent more than that. If it was NHL 24 where goalies could save something then this screenshot wouldn't exist.

He scored shorthanded no screens 3 times in a minute from the blue line with a 84 overall d man just skating in no deke nothing. This game is so bad I regret even buying it. Previous years I've always been div 2 minimum and now I lose games like this constantly it's super frustrating.
If someone is only scoring on one type of shot, learn to defend it. Shots from the points are a very viable way to score this year. Playing tighter D around the points will limit their chances.
The fundamentals of your game benefit casual friendly players 110% (no skill checks for pick ups) with that being said I do agree with you here. I’ve had games where the end of game stats look like this and I knew I lost because my defence off the rush was just bad. However there are other times where things happen like what the user describes, guys with 0 sauce 0 sty 0 aura skate into my zone like a bot and takes the first shot he’s given and scores, and this will happen 3-4 times in that particular game then all of a sudden stop happening in games that are more closely contested (in a sense of defense, meaning the shot qualities are usually the same or similar as the dud goals from earlier)
gameplay tells all. It’s hard to agree with OP without game footage.
