EASHL - Fix it please

Why can’t EA fix it and make it enjoyable?

1)Servers: How do you do them, EA? Why is it a coin toss entering a game whether it’ll let you play? You can’t skate, you can’t score. You’re skating in mud the whole time. There’s NOTHING you can do. Everything from the other team goes in. Games have NOTHING to do with skill most times.

2) Goalies: Fix them, please up the sliders. I adjusted them in Be a Pro and it does work. So do it in EASHL because this is ridiculous. It’s normal to see 50% shooting and always the same glitch goals and short side garbage….no one even wants to play defense or net.

Add to this list, people. EA, please stop hating EASHL. I’m not playing HUT. I’ve bought this game every year since it was introduced and I’m NOT happy with this. Do better

  • I’ll add first,

Gameplay: why is there so many errant sticks? Chill with the penalties; not EVERY outstretched stick aims for skates or even stick contact, is going to trip. There’s so much stick play in real hockey. Make defense more effective. We get it. You want people scoring goals . This mode should be more simulator, less arcade. We have 3s eliminator, arcade and ones already.

  • A.I. - Good grief, EA, the bots are just ridiculous. The programming flaws are so obvious; cmon EA.  Add in whether the other team has the ice tilt connection, and your bot can’t even recognize what’s happening.

Ai is reactionary. Its decisions are based on what the humans are doing.

If you're on an EASHL team and you keep noticing how your AI is making all these mistakes while the team that's beating you seems to be getting the 'good ai' - that should tell you something and no, it's not that EA gives the 'tilt' to the other team - it's that they're making decisions that result in better ai performance.

Wish it were that way, but thanks for trying to be patronizing. I know what the programming is, and how the bots work with your position and play. If the other team has the better connection, not only can your player not recognize the puck, or grab it the same, the bot doesn’t recognize what’s happening either.

Let’s talk 3s. Lets just start with the basics, the ai d is programmed to jump up every play. In 6s is less noticeable

I’m guessing whatever zone you’re in, or however it works, or whether you play 3s, if you don’t know what I mean, then you’re not experiencing it….im happy for you. You don’t know what I’m talking about. Every single person on my list that I’ve talked to knows what I’m saying.

There are glaring holes in AI logic when there's no human even near them or when a human is playing their position. For example: Why does the AI winger cut to the middle when I, as center, have an open lane for a breakaway, bumping me and going offside? Or as D skate in front of you clogging the passing lanes. Why does AI hustle to the corner to race for a loose puck, only to suddenly abandon the assignment, stop at the hash marks clueless, and let the opponent take easy possession? Why do both the LW and RD leave their assignments to double or triple me in the left corner, when im LD? These are not single cases, but happen multiple times. What is the AI reacting to in these situations, if not the clear flaws in its logic? This year the AI is just plain dumb.

Yes, the AI also reacts to humans and what they does on ice, depending on connection quality. We have experimented what the “elites” of 2s or 3s does; stay out of the ai’s way either waiting on the blue line or clogging the middle. This seems to make ai responsive and over compensate more times than not. And that’s not a good thing for the game.

Poke checking is probably my main tool for defending. I don't take many penalties from it though. Can you get me some video of the penalties you're taking that you feel shouldn't be happening? You can publish it through your console or put it up on YouTube and respond with a link. Thanks!
