Totally agree with you . But I dont think they ever will be bringing back good and Normal Hitting and the right controls again because there are many players and so many low skilled players that doesnt want to get body checked . It is sad to see what they have done to this game

No one wants NHL 24 hitting speed boost but NHL 25 is non existent. Anyone who says it's fine were the players who never liked dealing with the consequences of hitting. It's actually sad that hipchecks are a more effective way to take the body then body checks now.
I'm more than happy to face someone who likes the hitting where it's at now and get 15min of TOA in their zone to prove how broken it is.
Unfortunately the META right now on HUT is score a goal as quickly as you can and just waste time in the opponent's zone. Champs will be unplayable.
For myself, playing offline franchise, I don't feel there is an issue with hitting as long you properly time it and set up the hit. It there chances you miss it, of course but that is realistic as well.
It's sad to see stuff like meta gameplay in online as this means that they are not actually playing the game of hockey and more of an arcade game, which can't overly be fixed by the game.

Make a team in Chel... Play all day.. and you will see what we are talking about... Not 6 v 6. Play 2 or 3 players.... play forward position you will see pretty fast what all of us are saying. AI Defense is horrendous. We have tried all settings. Its to a point where I play RW and hang down just above the blue line in the O zone to try to prevent the tap tap tap skate skate skate breakaway all day game.
Community ManagerI play WoC. I also play defense and am not giving up a lot of breakaways. We're going to have different styles of play. That's why I want to see video of what you are experiencing. I also haven't been playing with AI defenders. Again, video will help understand what you're dealing with.
There is nothing skilled about the one timers ,actually you could always do manual one timers which did actually take some skill.....like I've said different doesn't mean better and again I say again no one should be taking a bow or patting themselves on the back ,for making this game
Hitting is lower on the list. Chel Tap tap tap from goalie goes through players tap tap tap breakaway goal. over and over and over. AI D stands and watches as they blow bye. What a joke !

Community ManagerCan you get me some video of this? I haven't seen a lot of breakaways, but I also play pretty conservative defense since most teams are looking for just what you're saying. They're trying to breakout and get numbers on the D. I'm watching for this style of play and keeping my positioning in order to defend it. You're welcome to provide some video and we'll review it for any issues.
