Is there a chance EA will add some of these college kids playin out the final 9 games of the year(snuggerud, rinzel, moore etc). Along with player ratings update. I just dont get how fifa has squad updates every week or so and nhl only updates ratings twice a year.
Community ManagerHey there. We don't have the licensing for college players currently so chances are extremely slim they would be added.
Even the ones that have signed entry level deals and are currently playing for their nhl team
Community ManagerIf they are already in NHL 25, it's possible their ratings could be adjusted in the future. I just don't think we would add any new players this late in the year.
Having a player like Ryan Leonard who is a major part of one of the best teams be created for the World Juniors but not on the Caps roster is just lazy. Madden gets weekly updates even in the playoffs. I get the NHL doesn’t have the sales and resources that Madden does but to not add players playing in the NHL just kills the realism.
Community ManagerI will relay the feedback. When a player isn't in the game though, it's due to not having their rights. It's not out of laziness.
i made a similar post recently as well. i can understand missing a few college prospects, but it has been known Leonard and Perreault's arrival was imminent, so plans to have their rights should've been made. I would say its a massive miss not have Leonard in simply bc he is on one of the top teams in the league, playing alongside the NHLs darling Ovechkin nonetheless.
Community ManagerI can't go into licensing. That's really not an area I'm involved in. However, I know our team is aware of these players and would love to have them in the game. It's just not as simple a process of paying someone for them.
