It seems every year that EA adopts a certain reward plan, and maintains that throughout the year. I'm talking about the objectives. Here we sit in the beginning of June, and the rewards are still 80+ players. They no longer have value, nor are they needed by anyone to use. My proposal would be. Increase the rewards issued by the number of games an individual has played. Those that are just starting out in this game are subject to the same rewards as those that have been playing from the beginning. So. Tier your reward program. The more games played, the better the rewards. By more games played , those present 80+ player rewards would increase according to the games played. 85s, 86s, 88s etc. At least it would give both incentive to play more, as well as rewarding those that have played longer. Personally. Why would it be worth playing the sets objective right now, when all you get are random low 80+ players to a max of 86 for 100 sets completed. EA. Evolve the game as time passes, instead of maintaining this Duldrum you currently use. Probably why the consensus is, this franchise is getting worse year by year. The dont care attitude is your major fault right now.

For people new to HUT, these players are valuable.

Offering increasingly better rewards solely based on the number of games played risks creating an unbalanced environment where new players are constantly at a disadvantage. Not to mention destabilizing the in-game economy.  If rewards become disproportionately better for high volume players, it could incentivize burnout or overly grinding behavior, which might also hurt long term player satisfaction. The current, somewhat consistent reward scheme encourages steady play without punishing casual players who can't invest huge amounts of time.

For a new player? To fill out their team. For long-term players? To complete collectables. Not all cards are used in an active roster especially as you play late into the season and have players with Max attributes filling out every line.

There is no consensus that the franchise is getting worse year by year. Maybe in certain echo chambers where dunking on EA gets you clout. But in the real world, despite some nagging bugs and typical year-over-year gameplay evolution pains - there's a reason thousands of players still enjoy the game and what is has to offer.

You best check out your final statement regarding consensus. 25 has been rated one of the worst EA NHL editions. But don't take my word for it. Look it up. And obviously, you are happy with this game. All the power too you. Enjoy!
