3 of us were able to play 5 or 6 club finals games. Always found a game within 1 minute of searching last night.
Try resetting your lobby (everyone exit) if searches aren't successful.
Unfortunately, because the changes made to matchmaking are top secret classified, we can't really tell what EA is intending to accomplish with them. Therefore, we can only speculate on what potentially "fixes" the problem.
