No Full Presentation is a joke.
It seems odd that this 'grudge match' is being touted as a primary feature. If we're going to see the same old presentation albeit with some new shoehorned camera cuts to the coach and maybe a player who's been tracked as scoring goals against a rival, what's the point?
We were told 'new dynamic camera angles' were coming in '20 or '19 and it ended up being these quick, 2-second camera angles that were injected into the pre-faceoff flow. They're still there to this day - a jarring, seemingly unnecessary camera cut, right before the faceoff.
I just think if they've done this again - simply added a new angle into the regular off-play flow along with a few new graphics to showcase a 'grudge match' - it's going to fall flat and those of us who've been begging for quality-of-life improvements to the rest of the game will wonder why.
This looks like a really cool feature, unfortunately the immersion you are looking to create is impossible without full presentation. That should be the bare minimum, with this being a fun addition on top of it. Considering the demand for bringing full presentation back, I don't understand the logic behind it still not being in the game. Especially now that we are next-gen only.

I'm in favor of a full presentation, but what is a full presentation? If the goalkeepers intro were returned. Is the presentation complete? Last year they brought back repeated shots of the goals, even the goalkeeper's interventions (3x replay) as well as the record of the hits. This year the coaches should be seen as well. So with ena the full presentation works and gradually goes back.
I would consider this to be more or less what full presentation is:
Is the presentation perfect? No. Does a modern NHL game have to be presented exactly like a full real-life NHL broadcast? No. But, people have been BEGGING for this kind of presentation for YEARS. And, it's something we know EA can do, because we've seen EA do it before. EA's choice in presentation is purely an artistic one. Well, the art sucks.
Depending on the x-factor given for EASHL grudge matches this could be horribly unbalanced.
Giving individual players boosts in EASHL is the dumbest thing EA's done in a while. Keep in mind that most club games aren't the same players playing against the same players over and over. Most of the time, it's guys picking up players from LFGs, or guys in leagues throwing teams together full of randoms.
Let's just think about this for a second. Let's say you get a lobby full of random guys who all found each other 5 minutes ago in an LFG. Because ONE guy played well at some point in a game against that CLUB, not those specific PLAYERS, he gets a boost that no one else gets? What the hell?
X-factors were a terrible addition to NHL to begin with, and EA has SOMEHOW found a way to use them to make the game even MORE unbalanced.
Bravo, lads. My expectations were low, but **bleep**.

Impact players are awarded based on team. So, if a player earns that award and then joins another club, the XF won't transfer with them.
So if Team 1 plays Team 2. And the next game Team 2 now has 6 new players(the previous ones are still on the club) will one of the players of team 2 get the Xfactor? Or only the one player from team 1.

As clubs and players come back year after year, history comes with you, so a Grudge 2-3 years from now will have more history, substance, and emotion.
This seems to imply clubs are going to be brought forward to new games instead of needing to be re-created with each release. Can that be confirmed? Or is the grudge tracking at the player level? Or both?
Not having this Grudge Match feature in Online Versus is such a slight. It would be perfect to track games against specific people.
I do not even play with X factors on i wonder how it is going to be when those are turned off.
Yes without proper AUTENTHIC presentation before the game this Grudge match graphics not get the full effect.
