Respectfully, this is the global standard for almost all games I see is putting the Sprint/Hustle/Turbo/etc on LS/L3 so I don't understand why they would want to change that. The only thing I could make the argument for changing is to make it a toggle button instead of a hold. That way, you only have to press it once and it remains active while skating forward but once you try to turn to a side, it automatically deactivates. I've seen some FPS' do this as an alternative and I think that would be the best way to combat this issue.
