How is it possible that the lag got worse after this patch? Both Xbox Series X and PS5. Specifically in the rosters. Just scroll through the players on a team and tell me this is normal and or next gen. What a joke.

It’s so so bad. I have never seen it this bad. I had that happen to me as well in franchise. You have to spam the buttons for it to register. What’s incredible.. is that even if you go offline with no internet connection, it lags. I’m not putting up with this again. If this doesn’t get patched asap, it’s getting returned and I’m moving on. Not the first time I have returned an EA product after a patch broke a game. So disappointing.

There's also terrible lag in franchise mode when scrolling through free agents or the draft class. And manually assigning players for to a scout now requires you to hit the button over and over again for it register. How did this get through testing?EA_Aljo

EA_Aljo Sorry to reply to my own post, but after playing some more I have better observations of the damage this patch did to franchise mode.First, I was wrong about the free agent and draft class screens. They are sometimes fast, sometimes slow, as it was before the new patch.The major problem is in the scout assignments, edit lines, and view contracts screens. Every single time you scroll to a different player there is a 2 second delay before you can do anything. This makes editing lines absolutely miserable. It was laggy at times before, but now it's downright painful... move to a player, wait 2 seconds, select that player, move to the player you want to swap them with, wait 2 seconds, select them to swap, wait another 2 seconds for the line chemistry to update... Assigning players to scouts likewise requires waiting 2 seconds every single time you scroll to another player. Same in the view contracts screen.I assume this is caused by this (from the patch notes):Added processing delay for the player card update that occurs when hovering over a different player within a spreadsheet and Edit LinesWhy would EA intentionally inflict this pain on their FM players? Is this another ruse to force people over to HUT?

Its the same for the S too this patch broke somthing

And I thought my console was acting up..What even is this patch note??Editing lines is absolutely unbearably laggy now, just get rid of it

That really isn't true. The part about it not being impossible to play so we're done. We need more video of this. We've had a hard time reproducing this. If you have have any other videos, please post them somewhere they can be streamed so we can investigate this further.

I'm surprised to hear this is hard to reproduce, it's been an issue all year. Most menus that list players and the Edit Lines screen are laggy, probably due to the ridiculously long time it takes to load each face (even the blank default face for generated players) as you scroll. Anyways, I'll get videos next time I play.
