Hockey Stick

Is there a reason why the stick on this game only gets stuck on defense but can shoot directly through someone on offense? So many times on defense my stick can get stuck on someone and it screws me out out of a defensive chance until I gain control again. I have replays saved of sticks going directly through legs when deking or shooting....what a joke!
