NHL use to be such a fun game but all the bugs they put in the games to force you to buy the new one is horrible and takes all the fun out of the game. I can't even play franchise mode because I lose control of the players for no reason.

Is it possible your controller's batteries are dead?

As already mentioned, this is probably an issue with your controller. Make sure the firmware is up to date. If it is, try using a different controller. Thanks!
I thought of the controllers lossing connection, but it's multiple controllers and only on that game non of the other games I play have issues. And some of the other buttons work when it happens
