Matchmaking

So has there been any acknowledgement on EA's part regarding matchmaking? It is clearly broken. I can sometimes hear other people in some random lobby talking when I'm in a lobby by myself. You never really know if it's working or of its glitched and will time out. It's almost December how is this not a priority? I play like 3 or 4 games in 4 or 5 hours if I'm lucky. I've all but given up. 

This is quite an embarrassment of a release.
