Might be time to bring in a Handicap system to EASHL

Well with NHL 25 upon us I have been reading and experiencing the issue of lower ranked players your bronzes, silverer's in EASHL, being matched up against diamond and fires.

Which 9 out of 10 times does not turn into a fun experience for the lower ranking team and causing either blow outs like 10-1 or teams just quitting after 5 goals or right after first puck drop, I have seen posts here and on reddit about this issue and have experienced it myself as well.

I think its time to bring in a handicap system so if your matched up with elites and your just average, than the average team would get a plus 2, or 3 attributes on everything, depending how much differences there is for the lower ranking team, but if the lower ranking team wins the game, than the higher ranking team wouldn't lose very much RP maybe like you lose a 100 RP points, but the lower ranking team would get like 400-500 RP.

This would encourage lower ranking players to stay and play the game, and also give the higher-ranking team more of a challenge and would be more exciting for them instead of being bored.

  • They already do by dumbing everything down so it literally takes no skill to play. I wish they get rid off all the abillites and go back to being a skilled game and not an ea hold my hand one..

Your club is finding games? I gave up when my 6 man club was waiting 20 minutes for a game, then we'd match with a 6v3 on a European server. Wasn't worth the time or effort to play club anymore. Everytime we try to give it another chance, we wait and wait with low population on weekend nights, just to constantly back out or get backed out on with mismatched teams/locations

  • How does this provide any incentive to get better at the game? Giving lower ranked players hand outs is not going to help them at all.

I'm currently gold 2 and I have beaten high ranked players. I don't think rank really matters. It's who you play with and who you get matched up against.

The fact is - a skill gap exists for a reason. You play ranked if you're invested in getting better. If not, it's best to just play non club games.
