no patch for unrealistic LT speed boosting is a joke.
If you're allowing an opponent the time and space to execute 3 or 4 LT pumps in a row, that means you're giving them the time and space to generate speed regardless of the LTing. I don't personally believe LT pumps give you a speed boost. I think the LT animation is tricking you into thinking it's generating more speed when the reality is that the player would be generating that speed anyway with no defenders impeding their ability to do so.
The issue isn't really a speed burst, but the ability to skate sideways at full speed. Essentially allowing the puck carrier to protect the puck with their body while maintaining maximum hustle speed for their build.
Although we may be talking about different things since there's no pumping of LT/L2 for the exploit I'm describing.
The issue with the LT/L2 is that how do you fix it without ruining it for others. Playing offline on high skill this does not work at all. The AI will bump me off the puck or poke it away. That is always the issue and kind of what is happening with the One-tee "green" which is already at a point where its much less frequent and after tomorrow could be a lot worse.
That is my biggest concern for any of these direct changes. As long as its high skill level and used without over usage - they do work well.
