NHL 25 Patch Blog 6 December 4
Just a quick remark.
Tonight 6.12.2024 around 23:00 UTC, I just updated my NHL 25 installation on XBOX, and I noticed the ice coming off the skates after hard turns or braking is BACK!!!!!! (it was an issue I have mentioned a month or so ago) Which makes the game even better for me. Apart from the ice coming off the skates, the overall feeling of the game and the goals I have scored felt somehow better and the game feels to be improved even though I can not describe it in any specific way, apart from the circa 20 years of EA´s NHL gameplay experience. However, I suspect the game speed has been adjusted to a faster pace (comparable to NHL 23). I can not prove it is just a subjective observation, but I have this suspicion that the game speed has been altered probably in response to numerous whining on the forum regarding the "slower" pace of this iteration of the NHL game.
Summary:
Keep up the good work with incremental implementation of new mechanics/ideas and fixes.
The fact that you fixed "the snow off the skates" means a lot and it is a good message in how you respond to "requesters".
The slower game speed in NHL 25 is a good move, I think the game is much more realistic and fun to play this way - please do not listen to a "faster pace game speed whiners".
