They believe that there is no profitable playerbase on PC. There has not been a NHL on PC since NHL09. 16 years since their last PC title I think its time they put a new NHL on PC, Although the developer of NHL09 was HB studios which is under 2K but EA published the game. Surprisingly 09 still has people playing it, mainly community supported with mods. I think the player base for 09 dropped though in recent years after a issue with windows 10, haven't read into this but thats what I've been seeing.
