I don't think the offensive player picking the puck back up immediately would be as annoying if it weren't for the fact that pokechecks basically stop you in your tracks. Going for pokechecks is risky enough because of the speed deduction, but letting offensive players pick the puck back up immediately on top of that is ridiculous.
Between passes going straight through players with defensive builds, poke checks being nerfed, and defensive skill stick doing nothing, I'm not really sure what tools defenders really have, tbh.
