Thank you, EA_Aljo.
Obviously, the PlayStation used to have colours to their buttons, including the PS4, but just because the style of the PS5 controller changed doesn't mean gameplay has to be sacrificed just for the sake of coordinating. The anniversary controllers and many of the new 3rd party controllers still have the original colours.
I stopped playing because I got so frustrated playing on Xbox at friend's places, seeing that they had colours to help them identify the icons, that playing at home was like having someone taunting me, only made sooo much worse when I would press the wrong button for icon passing.
Then, when NHL 25 came to Xbox Game Pass, I found out I could now play it on my old Xbox One, further rubbing it in my face that my new PS5 was merely a vanity upgrade trap.
And like I said in my first message about grinding for nothing more than collectibles, I felt this release started off with some great new features - especially because R3 was no longer used for reverse check - to progressively sucking out all the fun.
Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it. I could use a little more detail on the reasoning for needing the colors. Are you more familiar with which color each button is rather than which symbol it uses? For example, do you associate the button on the right with red instead of triangle? Is the bottom button blue instead of X?
The game was designed to run on the new consoles. While it can be played through gamepass, you still have to wait several months for that to happen and there's no guarantee they will work for future gamepass releases.
