Today's trolls
"[REMOVED]"(ps) & "[REMOVED]"(xbox) are this month's trolls. How do we report players like this? Ones that spam for the puck whenever the compie has it, so no plays can be made. & ones that constantly pull compie goalies. EA needs a better report system. Or at the least the need to make the website a little easier to traverse. If anyone who can do something about reporting these players other than in game, pls do so. I've been dealing with [REMOVED]fpr month's and alot of the community knows them for what I explained.119Views0likes11CommentsFranchise mode trade history
Sooo why am I getting a better GM experience from a free app on my phone? Fix the bugginess and slowness of the franchise mode menu. Add a trade history tab. Fix trade value. I shouldn’t be able to trade for a 70 OVR low elite prospect who’s just got taken in the top 20 for my 42nd overall pick, that makes absolutely 0 sense but works fine on all trade difficulties of EANHL’s franchise mode. Two fixes and a feature add, the games probably close to final product but these are musts, minimums if you would.20Views0likes1CommentExtra skill points carrying over to NHL26?
Hi ! Do we know if the extra skill points we got every season throughout the year will carry over to NHL26, or will we start over to where the builds were back in October? I feel like we got given more points gradually to test if that would break the balance in WOC, but since it hasn't, I really hope we don't roll back. I feel like competition has improved with added points to builds. The game is more fun to play with better overall builds too. I can't speak for 3v3, I don't play in that playlist, but in 6v6, the added skill points seems to have encouraged more diversity in builds. What do you guys think?38Views0likes1CommentGame Speed vs Reality: NHL 25 vs NHL Edge Data and the Missing Speed Gap
First off, I want to commend EA on doing a great job bringing the speed down to reality with its latest games. The game plays at a much more realistic pace which opens the door to a lot more creativity over simply being a sprint fest. That said, there are two glaring issues. 1. The devs aren't taking advantage of NHL Edge statistics to create speed attributes based in reality 2. The gap between the fastest and slowest NHL players should be twice as wide as it currently is in NHL 25 Before we start, some info you should know. The NHL's slowest players hit a top speed of ≈20 mph. The NHL's fastest players hit a top speed of ≈24.5 mph. The NHL average speed is 22.18 mph. More NHL players hit a top speed above this average than below (399 to 299). The slowest in-game NHL 25 player is at 80-speed. The fastest is at 96-speed. Now, these players don't hit their top speeds constantly, so EA shouldn't strictly use top speed as a guide for their top speed in game. However, there should be a 4.5 mph gap from fastest to slowest player. 1. The dev team is not taking advantage of NHL Edge statistics to create attributes based in reality Attached is a chart of the top 50 top-speeds from the 2024-25 season according to NHL Edge compared to each player's current speed rating in NHL 25. ----- See NHL 25 Speed Rating vs NHL Edge Attachment (Green Banner) ----- The highlighted numbers are at or below NHL 25 median speed (midway between 80-96) All the players on the chart are above the 93rd percentile in NHL top speed and within 1.5 mph of each other, yet nearly half are closer to the slowest NHL player's 80-speed than the fastest player's 96-speed. The solution here is simple. Use the data that's available to you. Guys like Carlsson and Hutson should not be 86 and 87 speed by the end of the season. If you're wondering what initially motivated this deep dive, it's that Carlsson, Gauthier, and Vatrano (every Duck in the Top 50 fastest NHL speeds) are 87-speed or below. Meanwhile, Strome (our slowest player) is our 2nd fastest player in the game. It's not even close to accurate. 2. The gap between the fastest and slowest NHL players should be twice as wide as it currently is in NHL 25 Out of curiosity, I measured the in-game speed of 80-speed (slowest NHL 25 player) vs 96-speed (fastest NHL 25 player). To do this, I set all other stats equal and boosted acceleration, so they were always at top-speed. Then, I measured blue-to-blue speed. The 80-speed player clocked in at 20.2 mph. The 96-speed player clocked in at 22.7 mph. The current gap between fastest and slowest player is only 2.5 mph when it should be 4.5 mph. Interestingly, the slowest player matches their actual real-life top speed. But the fastest player, is over 2 mph slower than their real-life top speed. Again, you don't have to match top-speed 1:1. It's not like Q. Hughes is flying around at 24.5 mph constantly. But the gap should still be 4.5 mph. If anyone's interested, measuring these speeds also allowed me to put together attribute-speed map for NHL 25 in its current tuner which is attached below: ----- See NHL 25 Attribute-Speed Map (Blue Banner) ----- I've also attached an alternative attribute-speed map that I hope EA considers. It also includes total player distribution at each attribute based on NHL Edge data. ----- See Proposed Attribute-Speed Map (Pink Banner) ----- My proposed attribute-speed map would plot every player in the NHL from 80-95 speed. So functionally it's a 15-point system that should be easier on the devs to maintain year-to-year. This gives clear and easy to understand increases at each attribute level. It also allows for flexibility if you wanted to create someone faster than the fastest player. Keep in mind this is meant to be an intuitive baseline. If the game feels too fast, you can lower the global speed sliders which is totally fine because that will still maintain the 4.5 mph gap that should be present from the fastest to slowest players no matter what.29Views1like0CommentsNHL 26 Be a Pro wishlist/suggestions
I wanna start by saying I have been playing NHL games since nhl11 and I have been an active be a pro player since NHL 17. As someone who’s favorite mode is be a pro I feel there are some much needed changed and improvements that aren’t far fetched that can turn this mode great. More hockey options before the nhl: not everyone wants to play a lot before the nhl but that’s because there is no depth too it, and when you start before the draft and don’t pick your team you don’t get other rookies into the sim. Firstly, put rookies drafted in into the draft pool so they are incorporated into the be a pro world. Secondly, allow me to start at 17/18 headed to the draft or 15/16. If I choose to start at 15/16 let me choose to go to college, with around 10-15 of the top tier teams in college hockey, or the Chl/european league like you have now. Allow me to frequently check my draft stock in a “top prospects list” and give me actions and interviews that allow me to either purposefully drop my stock or boost it based on what I say. Make the years before the nhl more immersive and mean something beyond just the #1 pick. This will also allow players to get their rating up before they get into the nhl. Not everyone wants to be a 70 overall, if I perform well in junior hockey, allow me to get upgrade points, which should be given on a more frequent basis in general similar to how MLB 25 has made their player upgrade system this year. Increase depth and immersion once drafted: Rookie season in Be a pro is decently immersive. You get interviews about different things every now and then and you want to grind to get on the first line. But after you do everything 1 time it gets boring and repetitive. It’s easy to win every trophy as I play on all star and scored 200+ points my first season, giving me nothing to grind for after. There are no trophy cutscenes, interviews die down after rookie season and the same questions are asked again and again. A simple awards presentation and Stanley cup parade would go a long way to making people want to grind more. People want to see their player doing things more often. Allow my player to go to practice, allow me to do the warm up skate before games, maybe even toss pucks to fans to increase my fan rating. Simple things like this make the game more immersive and replay able. Allow me to walk around the locker room before the game. Make the mode immersive, people wanna feel like nhl players, that’s why they play the mode. Make the mode like 2k’s my career ( WHILE YOU ARE IN THE AREANA NOT THE DUMB OUTSIDES CUTSCENES AND QUESTS) Revamp Contract resigning: I shouldn’t only see contract offers one time and have to make a decision right then. Allow me through my final contract season to have ongoing negotiations with the gm, you already have an office for him might as well put it to use. Even if that doesn’t happen allow offers to build up over the offseason with different perks and attribute boosts that make signing with other teams worth it. Grinding for a new contract is the only reason I play after playing my rookie season in be a pro but that gets dry because although you can buy things with your money, you never see them, you never see your player arrive to the rink in his car, you never see your house or apartment or a social media post of your vacation. Besides the small attribute boosts you get there is no point in the money in your contract. Fix the graphics: Please make the faces look better, the graphics on players, coaches and fans look terrible for 2025 standards. Other EA games like madden and EAFC do a way better job at player likeness. Along with that upgrade the hairstyle options even though it is under the helmet a lot of the time why have the hair in the game if it looks terrible. Besides about 6 hairstyles, all of the others are not optimized for current generation, they are all stiff and look like garbage.96Views1like2CommentsStatement on NHL 25 Cheating and Competitive Integrity
I’ve played NHL for years because I love the competitive spirit, strategy, and teamwork it requires. But this year, NHL 25 has been one of the most frustrating experiences to date. I'm not complaining about losing — I’m fine with taking a loss. But losing to multiple clubs who consistently score 8 goals on 11 shots using obvious exploits and possibly Cronus Zen devices? That’s not competition — that’s broken gameplay. The 3v3 World of Chel mode has become a hub for exploiters. It's filled with maxed-out builds, stamina glitches, and input manipulation that give unfair advantages. It’s making the EASHL Finals nearly unplayable for anyone playing honestly. I’ve submitted a formal complaint to EA, and I urge others who care about this game to speak up. We need stronger anti-cheat enforcement, investigation into Cronus Zen usage, and a serious fix for the current state of ranked play. We deserve a fair game.388Views5likes24Comments
