Re-Connect Feature

It's 2025 and Arc Raiders offered this feature in a tech test, so whats the problem here? Have they said why they can't figure it out yet, can anyone chime in?

We lost a Playoff game last night because one of our teammates got disconnected. There's no in game notice or anything. The other team continued to exploit the idiocy of our new AI forward and we of course lost the game.

How is it not possible to re-connect to these games yet? Why isn't this a priority with the servers already being so terrible?

It's really not as easy to add as you would think. That goes for most anything connection related. It would be different if it were just one person, but with potentially 12 human players, disconnecting and reconnecting, the likelihood of a desynch is pretty high.

Allow only 1 re-join, and the player must reconnect before the end of the current period.

Periods are probably too short to make this happen, but seems pretty fair.

Setting an example by way of permanent bans for being a troll would disincentivize a lot of the poor behaviour we see in EASHL today and might free us from the shackles of being scared of what the trolls will do.

We can't really police every game for people ragging, taking unnecessary penalties, starting fights, goalies leaving the crease, etc. The anti-griefing measures obviously need to be better though.
