No my controller mic isnt working not the actual controller even if i dont have a mic hooked up i can usually communicate in other games in game chat with my controller as its a ps5.

Have you checked to make sure the firmware for the controller is up to date?
It is yes ive also used multiple controllers.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other suggestions other than to try using a headset. I know on Xbox you can also use their app on a mobile device for chat. Possibly the PlayStation app has that feature as well?
its not about talking to my friends its about talking to randoms

I'm sorry to say, I don't have any other ideas except to try a headset with a mic.
