That’s one of the confusing and frustrating part of the game. Obviously any shot can result in a goal but they’re so inconsistent at times. Whether it is a great scoring opportunity or just throwing the puck at the net we never know if it’s going to be a save or a goal. I’ve seen wicked scoring chances denied and I’ve seen garbage shots from far out go in. I’ve played with teams that win and lose by creating great scoring chances either being saved or resulting in goals. Same thing with just throwing tons of shots on net. I understand things can go either way especially depending on other factors like positioninal play etc but it just seems so consistently inconsistent.
I also play a lot of goalie and am considered at least a better than average one. I’ll have one awesome game saving everything and then the next game my goalie will let up weak shots. That’s why I base my ability on the law of averages and/or my play being consistent.
What’s my point? Not sure. It just feels like sometimes things are too random in this game.

Kinda like real hockey, right? Hockey is full of bounces, good and bad. You just notice the bad ones a lot more. I'm not saying we don't need to improve with shots going in that you feel shouldn't though. The team is aware of the feedback on this.
