Have to agree with the community on this one. The reason why NHL 94 controls have always been an option is simple… Many people like to use them. And while Hybrid controls are quite similar, they are NOT the same. They absolutely are NOT 99% the same. Some people don’t have the time to put into a game that others do. I don’t want to spend 2-3 weeks trying to get used to a new set of controls when I only have an hour tops a day to play. Removing the controls was completely unnecessary. But, now that EA has, there is no need to buy the game. I’m content playing NHL ‘23 because I only play a custom Single Season on the ELH. Thank goodness, I can buy some of the other newer games coming out this year, there’s no need to waste my money on the NHL franchise anymore.
