No it's not.
The poke check animation pokes to where the puck is when the action is pressed. When someone uses reverse hit, it changes the position of the puck. This means you can use reverse hit to avoid some poorly placed poke checks.
If you anticipate someone is going to reverse hit you, don't go for the hit or a poke check. Use body positioning to simply obtain the loose puck.
