Reverse hit
Reverse hit is way overpowered. I go to poke check someone anticipating they will reverse hit me and they are able to reverse hit me even though I poke check them. Reverse hit should only be effect...
Well allow me to. As I have said I think that this is the only really decent thing puck carriers can do to protect themselves during this games current state, barring any coding changes. The fear of being reverse hit on can prevent stuff like the following to happen.
Late Hits
I am tired of watching people go for these dumb late hits on players that are making good pass off plays like in the example. Two passes result in over a second later hits that are supposed to be "finishing their check" when they should be blatant penalties (at the very least the first one). This ruins the concept of passing off the puck and being injured vs holding onto it and performing the reverse hit on them. It puts the fear of the reverse hit in their mind for the rest of the game when they try to run at you and you knock them down that first time.
Its something I will always rely on vs these dumb body checkers that just throw themselves at a check. Just once is all that is needed and all of a sudden I got their guy with truculence no longer hitting my players and instead trying to poke check. Its the only fair way for a forward to survive these types of stupid hits. (which the window for it should probably be changed to more like .5-.8s of a person no longer having possession because anything over a second is an attempt to injure and nothing more.)
I do agree late hit and charging needs to be addressed, it would greatly benefit everyone. But im convinced slapping a broken mechanic on top of an existing problem is a detriment to the game.
I'm all for it when players find creative way to use given tools outside of their intended purpose as long as it doesnt break the gameplay or the rules in this case IMO.
