Still trying to figure out why I am forced to play center in online versus

Question

Been dealing with this issue that started in 24, and is still a problem in 25. For whatever reason when I play online versus with my group, I’m forced to play center and take faceoffs every single game.

We’ve been playing this game for almost 25 years, and this is the strangest issue we’ve ever dealt with.

Regardless of who sets up the lobby, and which order anyone drops into the lobby, I am always forced to place center.

Hi there. If you player lock as a different position, does it still force you to play center?

Face offs are a huge advantage. You can position lock to a winger or a defender but you’d be stuck only at the player at that position. That would get you out of taking faceoffs.

That being said… I highly suggest trying to learn faceoffs because it’s a huge advantage. If you leave it up to your AI to win/loose draws it’s fairly easy to beat the AI if someone somewhat knows what they’re doing in the dot and you’ll be fighting for the puck after every draw.
