Superstar AI is blatantly unfair

Hey all. Let me start this off by stating I can easily beat the superstar AI in squad battles. However, it is absolutely insane how unfair the AI is. Whether it’s the 64 overall Liga defenseman out skating my highest overall players, defenders constantly playing out of position, teammates not getting open for passes/breakouts, opposing goalies turning into prime King Henrik, your goalies letting in the absolute weakest shots that even beer league hockey goalies save 99% of the time, teammates blocking your shots/passes, teammates blocking an open shooting lane, or any other of the dozens of problems I haven’t addressed. Something really needs to be done to fix this blatantly unfair difficulty.

  • Its not just unfair its stupidly unrealistic and not fun. Your team could have all 99 skaters and they get run down by bronze cards with 70 skating and they take the puck away from you from behind or a 180 lb player skates near chara and obliterates him. They can't program ai so they just set ice tilt to ludicrous. Its pathetic and should at least be reverted to what they had at launch.

  • Out of curiosity, what’s you attribute effects slider at? The closer to 0 means the players attributes are close to each other. So at 1 they are essentially the same. At 10, the gap between the lowest and highest rating is wider

  • I think superstar difficulty gives AI an advantage in attributes. Some games at max difficulty give the AI an in game advantage like having significantly more health than you. I think in this case the AI maybe has a higher attribute increase to their players across all stats. I could be wrong though.

Care to share any insight on this,EA_Aljo

I have my attribute rating at 9/10 and my fatigue is up to 99/100. This way when they get tired, their skills theoretically goes down too. And my fatigue recovery is at 7/100. BUT this is based on 8min periods. Your mileage may vary. This way the first line is not out for 40min in a game. And when they are on, they get tired. 7/100 recovery will have the Defense play about 22-26 min per game and the forwards will play around 20-22min. Depends on factors like Penalty kill and Power Plays and so on. This way the 4th line will play about 8-11 min per game. Just eliminates the top players being on the ice all the time.
