I don't get all the fuss about having icons on the ice. I'm too busy concentrating on playing the game that I very rarely notice them.

They’re all distracting and as a veteran player I don’t need any of them on the screen. I turn them all off when I first buy the game. I sure as hell hope this will have that option too.

I'm 49 mate. Been playing this game for over 30 years.
We have been given the option to turn off the pressure meter on the ice. There has to be a bit of come and go with the arcade stuff, its for the kids.
The gameplay is the best I've seen it for as long as I can remember. A few bits of arcade stuff is fine by me if the game plays like it has been.
The devs now have a good foundation to build on. I feel more optimistic for the future of the game than I did 2 days ago. Massive improvement on 24.

I don't know I feel like it's pretty easy to understand why people who have been playing NHL games for over a decade might want the ability to turn OFF these newer HUD features. Very relatable for me.

Same. It's not been intrusive at all for me. I do see how it can hurt the immersion for offline players that may not be used to the frantic competition of online games though.

But you should be able to turn it off for those who don't like anything else on screen than scoreboard and a clean sheet of ice, cant be that hard to program so everyone is happy
