Tighter interference calls would improve the WoC experience

Players are being allowed to run other players way too long after they release the puck. These late hits need to be interference calls. In prior years the timing was tighter, more realistic, and didn’t reward mindless aggression.

  • I completely agree the game has been letting people get away with too many late hits.  Also you can get away with a ton more cheap shots using hip checks in the most unrealistic of areas too.

still, don't forget about goalie interference. There is too much impunity.

I agree. Late hitting should be fixed!!

Best what i have seen in one game:  63 hits and 0 penalties (no overtime).
This is ridiculous. Lots of games with more than 50 hits and 0-1 penalties. This is so unreal.

+ You have almost full stamina but still it takes so long to get up from the ice that opponent is already in counter attack and you are late from defending. Player takes far too long to get up from the ice after hit. This also happens too often.

I understand if player has low stamina but if you have full stamina then this shouldn't even happen. Then player should get up from the ice much faster.

Part of the high number of hits and 0 penalties is they have relaxed the charging calls as well. It seems to align with the overall simplification of the game to appeal to a wider player base. Make it easier for new players to run around like idiots and let your committed annual players deal with it.
