Why no updated headshots

How come this is a yearly thing? Is it impossible for headshots to be updated even mid season just for an aesthetics improvement? It’s always just weird playing the game in 2024 but looking at jersey...

Hi there. We can only use headshots that were sent to us by the league. Normally, if a player is missing their headshot, it means they never had one taken on the day this happens.

It is possible to confirm whether generated prospects will have headshots or will they still be grey silhouettes?

    Grey silhouettes, they showed them in the franchise deep dive.

      Oh that sucks, I thought those were active players that just didn't have a headshot.
